Event overview
The Southern Freeze takes place on January 24, 2026, in Columbus, GA, at 7324 Psalmond Road. The event is an urban run along the Columbus, GA, and Phenix City, AL, Riverwalks with views of the Chattahoochee River. The course passes local landmarks including an urban whitewater course, Columbus State University, The National Infantry Museum, and Golden Park. The start and finish are at Scofflaw Brewing in Columbus. Registration closes on January 23. The event policy states there are no refunds or deferrals.

Combo options pair the January and August races to form longer totals:
- Freeze & Fried 50k: two 25k races (total 50k)
- FF100k: two 50k races (total 100k)
- FF100 mile: two 50-mile races (total 100 miles)
Aid stations will offer food items such as chicken and dumplings, sweet tea, grilled cheese, and cookies, and hydration options including Coke, water, and CeraSport. All entrants receive a T-shirt and a beanie; all finishers receive a race medal. A special award is given to the 1st place overall finisher in each event.
