About the race
South West Sydney Running Festival takes place at the Australian Botanic Garden, Mount Annan on Sunday 18 April 2027. The event offers multiple race distances and an event village with registration, bag drop and post-race provisions.
Race distances include:
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 2 km Family Dash
All event distances are chip timed by Multisport Australia. Finishers receive a themed finisher’s medal, a finisher’s certificate, post-race snacks and sponsor giveaways. The Family Dash is aimed at children; an accompanying adult can run with a registered child for an additional $10. Accompanying adults are not timed and do not receive a medal. There are no cut-off times for the 2 km, 5 km or 10 km events; the Half Marathon has a 3.5 hour cut-off.
The venue is reached primarily by car. Large car parks are available on both the east and west sides of Lizard Log, with a grass overflow area that may require 4WD in wet conditions. Race bibs are printed three weeks before the event and posted two weeks out; to have a name printed on a bib register at least three weeks before the race and request posting at least two weeks before the race.
Photographers will be present on course. Participants should expect other pedestrians, cyclists and dogs on shared paths and are advised to remain aware of their surroundings.
