South Side Area MS & HS Run with the Rams 5k
This is the third annual 5K held on the South Side campus in Hookstown, Pennsylvania. The course runs across school grounds and combines cross country trail sections with track surface. The route does not use public roads or regular traffic lanes.
Registration opens on May 1 and closes on August 13. The stated registration fee is $30. Runners who register by July 31 are guaranteed a race shirt. All proceeds benefit the middle and high school track and field and cross-country teams.
Age groups are organized as follows: 1-8, 9-10, 11-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. Donations are accepted at several levels; gold donors ($100 and up), silver donors ($50 to $99), and bronze donors ($20 to $49) will have their names printed on the back of the race shirt if donations are received by July 31. Smaller friend donations under $20 are also accepted.
The event is presented by the South Side cross country and track teams and is intended to close out the summer season while supporting school athletic programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
