South Side Area MS & HS Run with the Rams 5k
The event is a community 5K held on August 15, 2026, at the South Side campus in Hookstown, Pennsylvania, located at 4949 PA State Rt 151. This is the third annual running of the 5K, which covers 3.1 miles and combines cross country trail, track, and routes through school grounds.
The course does not use public roads or carry regular traffic. Organizers state the layout includes both trail and track surfaces and runs within school property, which may influence footwear and pacing choices.
Registration opens on May 1, 2026 and has a stated closing date. The registration fee is $30. Participants who register by July 31 are guaranteed a race shirt. Donations are accepted at several levels and donor names for qualifying contributions will appear on the back of the race shirt if received by July 31. Donation levels include gold one hundred dollars and up, silver fifty to ninety nine dollars, and bronze twenty to forty nine dollars. Friend donations under twenty dollars are also accepted.
All proceeds benefit the middle school and high school track and field and cross country teams. Age groups for results and awards are listed as 1 to 8, 9 to 10, 11 to 13, 14 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and older.
