South Side Area MS & HS Run with the Rams 5k
The event is a 5K (3.1 miles) hosted on the South Side campus in Hookstown, PA. The course combines cross-country trail sections, track laps, and routes through school grounds, and it does not use public roads or encounter traffic. The run is followed by family activities on site.
Registration information is provided for an open window in spring and summer with a standard entry fee of $30 for the 5K. Team registration is available for groups of five or more; team entrants from school squads may register together at a reduced rate of $10 per runner. Team scoring uses the average time of the top five finishers. Optional additional race shirts are available for purchase.
All proceeds benefit the middle and high school track and cross-country teams. Donations are accepted at multiple levels: gold ($100+), silver ($50-99), bronze ($20-49), and friend donations under $20. Donations received by July 31 will have donor names printed on the back of the race shirt. Individual registration received by July 31 is guaranteed a shirt.
Age divisions are listed for competitive awards and range from young children to age 60 and above, with groups such as 1-8, 9-10, 11-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
