About the race
The 12th Annual South Shore Half Marathon takes place at Bare Cove Park in Hingham, MA on November 8, 2026. The event is a half marathon only; a 5K will not be offered this year due to limited participation. All registrants receive a long-sleeve unisex race shirt and a finisher medal. The event includes a post-race celebration with music, light snacks, and an award ceremony.
Free finish line photos will be provided and each participant receives a professional chip timed bib with results posted instantly after the race. Packet pickup details are being finalized; pre-race pickup is listed as TBD and race day pickup will be available near the start area. A gear check will be available at the registration table and items will be marked with participant bib numbers. The course map and parking information are listed as coming soon. Awards are given as Marathon Sports gift cards.
Overall top three male and female finishers receive $100, $75, and $50 gift cards. Age group winners receive $25 gift cards in the following groups: 1-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. The event lists Boston Children’s Hospital as a charity partner and includes a fundraising option during registration. Sponsors are acknowledged by the organizers.
