South Shore Half Marathon
The South Shore Half Marathon returns to Bare Cove Park in Hingham, MA on November 8, 2026. Due to parking constraints at Bare Cove Park, participation is limited to 500 runners for this edition and the 5K will not be held. Past editions have averaged over 1,000 participants.
The event is a single half marathon distance. All registrants receive a long-sleeve unisex race shirt and a finisher medal. The event uses professional chip timing with results posted shortly after the race and provides free finish line photos. A post-race celebration will include music, light snacks, and an award ceremony. Awards include Marathon Sports gift cards for the top three overall male and female finishers and age-group gift cards for listed age brackets.
Packet pickup details for the pre-race period are to be determined. Race-day packet pickup will be available near the start line. Gear check is available at the registration table; gear check bags are labeled with participant bib numbers. The course map and parking information will be posted when available.
