South Salem Memorial Day Races
South Salem Memorial Day Races is an annual set of community running events based at the Lewisboro Library, 15 Main Street, South Salem, NY 10590. The program includes several event types on Memorial Day, with both in-person and virtual participation options. The 5K and 10K courses are U.S.A. Track and Field certified, so recorded times on those courses are eligible for national ranking.
Amenities listed for the event include live results via online, text, and email delivery, free finish-line photos, and personalized bibs for those registered three weeks in advance. Day-of packet pickup is handled at the Lewisboro Library; participants must know their bib number or use the self-lookup area. Virtual bibs are shipped and virtual participants can upload times and photos during the event upload window. Bib mailing ships within a window around the event date.
Awards are given for top three male and female finishers overall in the competitive events, and a Challenge option combines separate 10K and 5K times for a combined ranking and awards. A portion of event proceeds supports the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to benefit local families affected by multiple sclerosis.
