South Salem Memorial Day Races
The South Salem Memorial Day Races is a community race day centered at the Lewisboro Library, 15 Main Street, South Salem, NY. Multiple short and middle-distance events are offered, including road races, a health walk, youth runs, and a family dash. The 5K and 10K courses are U.S.A. Track and Field certified, so times on those courses can be accepted for records and national ranking.

Amenities listed for participants include live online, text, and email results, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for those registered at least three weeks in advance. Awards are given for top three male and female finishers in the 5K, 10K, the combined Challenge Run, and the Mile Fun Run. A Challenge Run option combines separate 10K and 5K efforts for a combined time and a single combined ranking.
A portion of proceeds supports local families affected by multiple sclerosis through a partnership with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Race day packet pickup is based at the Lewisboro Library and virtual participants receive mailed bibs; virtual runners can upload times and photos online.
