Event details
The South of the Mountain Trail Run is a 5k trail race held on November 1, 2025, at South Mountain Christian Camp in Bostic, North Carolina. The 5k course is a single continuous loop on dirt trails on the south side of Cherry Mountain. The route includes rolling hills, wooded paths, and views along the lake. All proceeds benefit South Mountain Christian Camp, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organisation that provides summer camp programs.

The entry fee is $25. Professional disposable chip timing will be used. Trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers and to the top male and female masters (age 40 and older). Medals are presented to the top three male and female finishers in 14 age categories (84 medals total). A free shirt is offered for registrations completed by late October. Packet pickup and check-in begin on October 28. No race-day signups are allowed. The event location is 1129 South Mountain Road, Bostic, NC 28018.
