The camp opened in 1957 in the South Mountains of North Carolina and aims to provide an environment that supports spiritual growth by disconnecting from everyday life to connect with God. Time in nature, exposure to new skills, and group activities are described as ways the camp helps children, teenagers, and adults learn about Jesus Christ.
