South Mountain 10 Miler, 5K and Fun Run
This event takes place at Catawba Meadows Greenway in Morganton, NC on April 17, 2027. It includes multiple running options and a T-shirt only registration choice for those who wish to support the camp without attending in person.
Registration opens October 2, 2026 and closes December 31, 2026. Registration fees listed by event are: $55 for the 10 Miler, $20 for the 5K, $15 for the 1 Mile Fun Run, and $20 for the T-shirt only option. Check-in is scheduled between 7:00am and 8:45am. Welcome announcements are planned separately for the 10 Miler and for the 5K and Fun Run. Awards are expected after all races conclude, approximately 10:30am.

The event benefits South Mountain Baptist Camp. Since its founding in 1957, the camp has aimed to foster spiritual growth through time in nature, skill building, and community. The camp estimates the cost to campers at about $205 per week while the true cost exceeds $300 per week; proceeds from the races go directly to the camp’s operating budget to help offset costs.
