South Island Ultra Marathon
The South Island Ultra Marathon is organised by CJM'S Events Ltd and takes place on the West Coast Wilderness Trail on the West Coast of the South Island. The event is scheduled in May and offers multiple race options with solo and team entries on selected distances.
Along the trail, runners pass a variety of landscapes and structures, including lakes, reservoirs, rivers, streams, water races, swing bridges, historic tram line bridges, a western town, forestry areas, wetlands, boardwalks, mountains and the sea. The route follows sections commonly used for mountain biking and is noted for scenic riding and varied terrain.

- South Island Ultra 100 km Greymouth to Hokitika - Solo or Team of 2
- South Island Ultra 54 km Old Christchurch Road to Hokitika - Solo or Team of 2
- South Island Warm Up 24 km Lake Kaniere to Hokitika - Solo
- South Island 6 km Run or Walk Kaniere Township to Hokitika - Solo
