South Fork Pandemonium
South Fork Pandemonium is a two day, townwide competition in South Fork, Colorado, held on August 14 and 15, 2026. The event follows an Amazing Race style format where teams move across town to complete a series of unpredictable challenges at local businesses and landmarks.
On August 14 a family race takes place in the center of town and is open to participants ages 5 and up. That day includes a Rootbeer Float celebration and $500 in cash prizes. On August 15 teams of four race through the town for more than $1,700 in prizes.
Challenges are varied and announced at stops along the route. Examples of possible tasks include rail biking in coordination with Revolution Rail, rock wall climbing, river floating that may involve the nearby Rio Grande, general physical tasks, navigation between locations, mind bending puzzles, strategy tasks, food challenges, and other quirky or interactive activities provided by local sponsors. Each stop is designed to require team coordination, local navigation, and a mix of physical and mental skills.
