South Fork Duathlon
The South Fork Duathlon is a midweek duathlon held at Cycle Werks in Whitehouse, Ohio on May 27, 2026. The event offers an early season opportunity to practice transition skills and prepare for multi-sport competition. It is open to experienced athletes and to those who want to try their first duathlon.
The overall event distance is listed as 17.25 miles. The course is split into three segments:
- Run - 1.4 miles - out-and-back, paved trail
- Bike - 12.8 miles - two clockwise loops on country roads
- Run - 2.75 miles - out-and-back, paved trail
The bike course is described as flat and follows country roads around Whitehouse. Both run segments are on the Wabash-Cannonball Bike Trail and are on paved surfaces.
This is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event, with age group standings applied and submitted. A post race meal of hamburgers and hot dogs will be available near the finish line courtesy of Dave's Running Shop; participants planning to eat are asked to bring a side to share. The best spectator viewing is at the transition area, where friends and family can see athletes arrive and depart the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
