South Fork Duathlon
The South Fork Duathlon takes place on Wednesday evening in Whitehouse, Ohio at Cycle Werks. It is presented as an early season duathlon intended to help athletes practice transitions and prepare for the multi-sport season. The event accommodates experienced competitors as well as first-time duathletes and is open to ages 14 and up.
The event is USA Triathlon sanctioned; age group standings will be applied and submitted. The bike course is described as flat and runs through the country roads of Whitehouse. Both run segments are contained on the Wabash-Cannonball Bike Trail and use paved surfaces.
Course distances:
- 1.4 miles - out-and-back, paved trail
- 12.8 miles - 2 loop clockwise road
- 2.75 miles - out-and-back, paved trail
A post-race meal will be available near the finish with hamburgers and hot dogs provided by Dave's Running Shop; participants who plan to eat are asked to bring a side to share. Spectator viewing is best at the transition area, where arrivals and departures between run and bike segments are visible. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
