South Downs Trail Run, West Sussex
The South Downs Trail Run starts and finishes at Goodwood Racecourse and runs into the South Downs National Park. The sell-out event attracts over 1,000 runners and offers three distance options, including canicross entries.
The route provides long views across the South Downs with possible glimpses of the North Downs, Chichester Harbour and the Isle of Wight on a clear day. The course weaves through forest tracks, skirts Levin Down, includes a stretch of the South Downs Way, drops into East Dean and finishes back at Goodwood. Surfaces include forest fire roads, bridleways and single-track trails.

The event is chip timed. Finishers receive a metal medal, a finisher goodie and a refreshing drink, plus a personalised certificate. The route is fully signed and marshalled, with on-course refreshments, first aid cover and an event photographer.
