South Cave 10k 2026

The South Cave 10 km is a road running event organized by the Kingston Upon Hull Athletics Club Road Runners in collaboration with the local community. The course begins at the drive of the 19th-century Cave Castle and passes through the historic town of South Cave. Participants then run through the countryside toward the village of Ellerker before looping back. The route includes a few sharp climbs and concludes with a final lap of the local playing field.

The event is open to runners aged 15 and over on the day of the race. The course has a strict 90-minute time limit, which begins when the last starter crosses the line. For safety reasons, animals, pets, buggies, cycles, and skateboards are not permitted on the course. While standard wheelchairs are not allowed, self-propelled wheelchairs may be permitted depending on course suitability.

Participants receive a medal and a t-shirt upon completion of the race. The event also features the Bob Reay shield, which records the names of the first male and female finishers. Facilities at the South Cave Sporting Club are available for use by the runners. Registration is limited to 1,000 entrants. Participants are allowed to edit their details or transfer their entry to another person until one week before the race date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
