Sources Of Strength 5K Color Run, American Falls
The Sources of Strength 5K Color Run is the second annual community event held at William Thomas Middle School in American Falls, ID on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The event is free, family friendly, and designed to promote connection, resilience, and wellness for all ages. Free parking is available and the event takes place in person.
The run is presented as an interactive color course with eight activity stations. Participants stop at the stations to take part in games and challenges that highlight the eight Sources of Strength: Mental Health, Family Support, Positive Friends, Mentors, Healthy Activities, Generosity, Spirituality, and Physical Health.
After the run, a community resource fair offers race refreshments, raffle prizes, yard games, music, and colorful chalk activities. Food trucks will be available for purchase. Local students will sell handmade crafts they created as healthy coping tools and creative outlets during difficult times. Registration and a guest speaker are included in the program, and walkers are encouraged to participate in an early wave of participants.
