Sound to Narrows is a run and walk event held in Tacoma that offers course options for both short and longer road distances. The event includes 12K and 5K routes and is presented as a community road race with a long local history dating to 1973.
The traditional 12K course has been modified because of construction in Point Defiance Park. The revised 12K includes added distance compared with previous years and contains a steep climb leaving Owen Beach. Route details are published by the organizer.
