Soulstice Mountain Trail Run
Soulstice Mountain Trail Run is the 27th running of the Jackie Weintraub Memorial event, scheduled for October 10, 2026 with a contingency date of October 11 in case of severe weather. The venue is Government Prairie in Kaibab National Forest, Parks, Arizona 86018.
The event features multiple trail distances:
- 30K trail race
- 18K (about 11.2 miles)
- 10K (about 6 miles)
- Kids Dash 1K
The race is organized by volunteers from the Northern Arizona Trail Runners Association (NATRA), including an unpaid race director. NATRA’s mission includes promoting trail running in Northern Arizona; the group runs 5 to 8 mile routes on a rotating set of more than 75 trails and offers a free lifetime membership with a twice monthly newsletter.
Registration details note an early bird opening on New Year’s Eve with an early fee of $70 through early January; after that the fee for the 10K, 18K, and 30K is $80. The Kids Dash registration fee is $10. If registrations would exceed the Forest Service permit limit of 200 runners by April 30, a lottery will be used; legacy runners registered before April 30 are guaranteed entry. There is also an option to guarantee entry before April 15 by donating an Arizona Charitable Tax Credit to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flagstaff. One hundred percent of race proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flagstaff. Dogs are not allowed on the race course.
