Soul to Sole Breast Cancer Awareness Walk & 5K
The Soul to Sole Breast Cancer Awareness Walk & 5K is the 4th annual event organized by Effingham Health System Foundation in Guyton, Georgia on October 17, 2026. The event lists a new starting location at Guyton Elementary School, 719 Central Blvd, Guyton, GA 31312.
The event includes a timed running 5K along a 3.1 mile route and a walk option. Participants receive a race t-shirt, professional race timing, and a finisher medal. The program includes recognition of breast cancer survivors and tributes to those who have died from the disease.
A Cancer Resource Fair, described as a "Cancer Self Care" Fair, will take place in the gymnasium to share information about local cancer resources. Paddles Coffee Truck will be onsite during the event.
Pre-registration is online only with listed fees of $35 for an individual and $180 for a team (maximum six members); race day registration fees are listed as $45 for an individual and $190 for a team. Pre-registration opens July 21, 2026 and closes October 14, 2026. Race packet and bib pickup is available the day before the event at the HR Complex on the Effingham Health System campus, located across from the Veteran's Memorial Park on West 1st Street Extension off Highway 21.
