Soul Food Festival 5K, Franklin LA
The Soul Food Festival 5K is the fifth annual event presented by the 100 Black Men of St. Mary Parish in Historic Downtown Franklin. It takes place on June 20, 2026 at 500 Main Street, Franklin, LA 70538. The event combines a community festival with a running event and related activities.
Event features include live music, Soul Food booths, a Health Village, and a Juneteenth Exhibit. The running component is a 5K Run/Walk of 3.1 Miles. A free Kids Marathon Challenge is offered as a one mile Kids Marathon to encourage family participation.
Packet pickup is located at the bayou side at the starting line. Registration carries a fee of $30.00, with registration opening March 9, 2026 and closing June 20, 2026. Awards for the 5K recognize the top three male and top three female finishers overall; no age group awards will be presented. The event benefits the 100 Black Men Scholarship Fund.
