SOS - Castle Hill is an event in the Saturday Orienteering Series held at Castle Hill Showground and Fred Caterson Reserve. The meeting point is near the George Bell Hall and public toilets at 131Z Showground Road, Castle Hill NSW, with access from Doran Drive. The event is listed for 25 July 2026.
Organizers offer several mapped courses named Warm Up (recommended for beginners), Short Line, Long Line and Score. Entrants may run multiple courses on the day. Maps and on-site advice are available to help participants choose an appropriate course.
SPORTident electronic timing is used for all courses; competitors who do not own a SPORTident card may hire one on entry for A$4 per entrant. Standard entry fees are A$18 for adults and A$15 for school students, with a 15% member discount available to eligible orienteering club members. A late entry surcharge of A$2 applies for entries after midday on the Thursday before the event. Prices include GST and merchant fees. A free Buddy ticket allows an accompanying person to go on course without a personal timing chip or map while not being entered as a competitor.
