Garavel SoNo Half Marathon | 5K
The Garavel SoNo Half Marathon | 5K is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, 2026, and is the 12th running of the event. The race program includes the following events:
- Half Marathon
- Half Marathon Student
- 5K
- 5K Student
- Kids Fun Run
Age eligibility listed for events includes entrants up to age 100 for the Half Marathon and 5K, ages 18 and under for the student divisions, and ages 12 and under for the Kids Fun Run. Some events show limited spots for student entries. Entry fees are published for each event, and prices increase after December 31, 2025 for several divisions. A 2026 refund policy applies; the policy states no exceptions will be made and optional race insurance is available.
Course, amenities and location
The course runs through historic South Norwalk along coastline sections, tree-lined streets, and past local landmarks. The event base is Veteran's Memorial Park and Marina at 42 Seaview Ave, Norwalk, CT 06855. Registered participants receive a performance shirt, multifunctional headwear, free race photos, and a finisher’s medal. A post-race party will include free beer for those 21 and over, pizza, ice cream, and refreshments provided by Stew Leonard’s. Additional race information is available on the event website.
