Spokane/Hunters/Fruitland Solstice River Run
The Spokane/Hunters/Fruitland Solstice River Run takes place on the first day of summer at the Fruitland Valley Vineyard. This event offers participants rare access to a private working vineyard situated on the cliffs above Lake Roosevelt. The course features a mix of vineyard rustic trails and private dirt roads, providing views of the river and surrounding mountains.
Registration options include:
- Scenic 5K
- Kids 100yd Dash
The Scenic 5K is a manually timed race that welcomes both runners and walkers. Participants aged 12-17 and 18+ receive a t-shirt with their registration, while those 11 and under can participate for free. The Kids 100yd Dash is a free event for children aged 11 and under, with prizes provided to those who register in advance.
Following the physical activities, a celebration is held at the Fruitland Valley Winery, located approximately two miles from the race course. This post-race gathering features live outdoor music and a complimentary sparkling toast, with non-alcoholic options available. Participants also receive a discount on food at the winery. The event is family and dog friendly, and all proceeds benefit Columbia K-12 rural school youth programs. Free parking is available at both the vineyard and the winery.
