Solsberry Hornet 5K
The Solsberry Hornet 5K is an out and back race that runs through the intersection of downtown Solsberry, Indiana and finishes on a notable hill. The course distance is 5 kilometers. Two registration options are listed: a run entry for those who intend to run at any point and a run/walk entry reserved for walkers only; participants signed up as walk only may not run during that registration.
Day of registration and check-in take place inside Solsberry United Methodist Church. The listed registration fee is $25.00, with online registration opening on April 20, 2026 and closing on July 9, 2026. Commemorative shirts are offered; participants may select a no shirt option to reduce their fee by five dollars and are asked to enter a size during registration.
All proceeds benefit the boys and girls cross country and track and field teams at Eastern Greene Schools. Awards are scheduled for the top overall male and female run finishers; the top two male and female walkers; and for runners in the following age groups: 0-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-59, and 60 and over.
