Solidarity Sidekick down Route 66 - Stop 4 - Wilmington
This Solidarity Sidekick stop in Wilmington is an untimed 6.6K running and walking event held at the Gemini Giant and The Launching Pad on historic Route 66. The distance and format are intended to celebrate the roadside icons and local character of Illinois’ stretch of the Mother Road.
The event presents a story-driven route that connects this stop with other stops in the series and highlights collectible elements tied to each location. Runners and walkers of all paces are welcome to take part in the informal, untimed outing.
Every participant receives a swag bag and a medal featuring the Wilmington Stop 4 design. After the 6.6K there are post-run refreshments and local hospitality available for attendees.
