Stop 2 in La Grange is a community run along the Illinois stretch of Route 66. The event distance is 6.6K and the location is listed as Welcome to Fabulous McCook, 8436 Joliet Road, La Grange, IL 60525. It is one of 18 community powered runs that follow the Mother Road and that collectively support ALS awareness.
The series is split into two halves of nine stops each. Part 1 includes Chicago, McCook, Joliet, Wilmington, Gardner, Dwight, Pontiac, Lexington and Bloomington. Part 2 covers McLean, Lincoln, Williamsville, Springfield, Divernon, Waggoner, Litchfield, Staunton and the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge. Completing a full half or the full 18 stop series earns exclusive finisher rewards reserved for full series participants.
Event services and features include a custom Stop 2 bib, a collectible stop badge, a professionally marked and timed course and a post run celebration with the Spirits Run community. Event shirts are optional and must be purchased during registration. Participant entries count toward the series reward structure.
