Solidarity Sidekick down Route 66 - Stop 3: Joliet 6.6K
The event on August 31, 2026 takes place at Route 66 Park in Joliet and consists of a run down the Mother Road and back for a total distance of 6.6K. The run marks Stop 3 of a Route 66 series that ties each town stop to a Route 66 Centennial commemoration and a shared mission for ALS awareness.
Sponsors for the Joliet stop include Haunted Trails and El Sabor Latino. After the run there will be ice cream and raffles, plus a relaxed cool-down and refreshments with fellow participants and supporters. The gathering provides an opportunity to connect with the Spirits Run community and observe the completion of this series stop.
The series awards an official series medal to each participant and a new Route 66 charm for every completed stop to add to that medal. Event shirts are available for purchase. The event package lists a custom Stop 3 Joliet 6.6K bib, the Joliet Route 66 charm for the series medal, and the post-run celebration.
