Solent Half Marathon
The Solent Half Marathon is a road running event organized by the local club, Hardley Runners. The 2026 edition marks a significant milestone as the 40th anniversary of the race. For this anniversary year, the event has moved to a springtime schedule, taking place in early March.
The course is designed to take participants through several scenic locations within the New Forest. The route winds around Exbury and follows the Solent shore at Lepe. The event is limited to 500 entries and operates on a pre-entry only basis, with no registrations accepted on the day of the race.
Proceeds from the event are donated to charitable organizations. For the current edition, the selected beneficiaries include Oakhaven Hospice and the Huntingdon's Disease Association.

Registration fees are tiered based on the time of entry, with discounts available for runners affiliated with England Athletics. In the event that a participant can no longer attend, the organizers provide a formal system for transferring entries to other runners via a transfer code process.
