The event offers several race distances:

- Kid's 1K for participants aged 12 and under
- Sole to Soul 5K Youth Rate for participants aged 18 and under
Event Details
The event celebrates its 18th anniversary. The 5K race is chip-timed using disposable bib chips, with timing mats at both the start and finish lines. The kids' 1K race is also chip-timed. All finishers in the 5K and Kid's 1K receive a finisher medal.
The course is described as flat and fast. In each of the last six years, more than 25 runners have finished the 5K in under 20 minutes, and the winner has broken 15 minutes in four of those years.
Awards
The top ten overall male and female finishers receive gift certificates to Second Sole, with values ranging from $100 for first place to $25 for tenth. Additional gift certificates are awarded to the top male and female masters (40 and up) and grand masters (50 and up). Awards are not duplicated.
Registration and Logistics
A discounted pre-registered entry fee is available for high school and elementary school cross country runners aged 18 and under. Early packet pickup is available at the store during business hours starting the day before the race, through race night. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
