Sole Purpose 5k
The Sole Purpose 5K is a community running and walking event held in Searcy, Arkansas. Organized by the Sole Purpose Bible Ministry, the event serves as a fundraiser for a local outreach program that provides Bibles to individuals in the area. Participants of all abilities are welcome to participate in the race, which follows a 5k distance.
The course is chip-timed by OK Timing Plus to ensures accurate results for all participants. Recognition is provided for several categories, including the overall male and female winners. Age group awards are also presented three-deep for both male and female participants in the following brackets:
- 0-9
- 10-19
- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60+
Participants who register by the specified deadline receive a race shirt and a finishers medal. Event materials can be collected during packet pickup sessions held at the Searcy First Methodist Church on the evening prior to the race or on the morning of the event. The race takes place on Main Street, providing a central location for the local running community to gather and support the ministry's mission of providing local families with access to the Bible.
