Solar 5k/15k
The Solar 5k/15k is the 13th edition of the event, formerly held as the Polar Vortex. It is organized by Team Brunazzi Events in Boston, PA, at 1902 Donner St. The event offers two distances:

- 15k
The course follows a flat rails-to-trails alignment on crushed limestone. Water stops are located at mile 1.55 (the 5k turnaround) and at mile 4.66 (the 15k turnaround). The event is sanctioned by USATF and proceeds benefit Elizabeth Forward Meals on Wheels. Headphones and pets are not permitted.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female overall finishers, masters male and female, and the top three in each age group: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 plus. No duplicated awards; medals will not be mailed.
The organizer maintains a zero refund policy. Race or distance transfers are allowed any time before the race but distances may not be changed after the race has started. Preregistered runners receive shirts if entered by the specified ordering date; extra shirts are distributed first come first served. Shirts will not be ordered after the event and will not be mailed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
