SoCal's Sunset Trick or Trot 5K/10K takes place on Sunday, October 25, 2026 in Huntington Beach, California at Bolsa Chica State Beach (Lot 25). Course, awards and logistics
The course is an out-and-back on a flat, paved path with ocean views. The start and finish are located in Lot 25 at Bolsa Chica State Beach; the out-and-back direction begins at the furthest west point heading east and back. The event is pet and stroller friendly - leashed pets are allowed with a maximum 5 ft leash and strollers should start near the back. Awards include top three in each five-year age division (ages 1–80+), top three overall male and female finishers, best Halloween costume, best uniform-themed costume, and awards for the oldest and youngest finishers. Parking options include parking in Sunset Beach with a walk-in or entering via Bolsa Chica State Beach main gate (entrance fee applies). The event is part of a Winter Series of Caren Ware events.
