Event Overview
SoCal's Cinco De Miles is a running event held at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach, California. This cultural celebration focuses on Mexican heritage and the Battle of Puebla. The event features live entertainment, including Mariachi music, Folclórico dancing, and dancing horses. Participants can choose from several distances:
- 5 Miles Run
- 5K Run/Walk
- Cinco de Mile (1 mile family fun run)
- Kid's Carrera (400 yards)
The courses are held on the beach bike path, with the 5-mile route extending the entire length of the State Park as an out-and-back course.
Participant Information
Every registered participant receives an authentic themed race shirt and a custom cast medal. The event utilizes RFID chip timing provided by Itz About Time for the 5K and 5-mile races, with age division awards presented in five-year increments. Overall trophies are also awarded to the top male and female finishers, as well as the oldest and youngest participants.
The event is pet-friendly, provided animals are on a leash of five feet or less. Strollers are also permitted on the course. On-site facilities include public restrooms located at the end of the parking lots.
