Soar with the Eagles 5K & 1 Mile Eagle Dash
The event takes place on October 18, 2026 at Gallup Park, Irene Fast Pavilion, 3175 Gallup Park Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48104, USA. It includes separate 5K and 1 mile races plus a combined entry called The Double Wing Challenge. Both timed events use professional chip timing provided by A2 Race Management.
Participants can choose among the following distances:
- 5K : "Soar with the Eagles"
- 1 Mile : "Eagle Dash"
- The Double Wing Challenge : 1 mile and 5K combined
Registration details on the event page note an early-bird registration deadline of September 25, 2026 and a scheduled price increase after August 28, 2026. Listed entry fees are $25 for the 5K ($18 ages 1 to 15), $20 for the 1 mile ($18 ages 1 to 15), and $40 for the double challenge. Packet pickup is available race day at the FAST Shelter near the Gallup Park playground and parking is available nearby.
Awards are planned for overall male and female winners in each distance and for age group placings. The 5K and 1 mile both list age group prize categories. A Best Dressed Eagle costume contest will be held with a grand prize, part of a celebration tied to America's 250th birthday. Net proceeds benefit the Ann Arbor Christian School Running Club.
