Event overview
Snow Running is a hill running event held at Glenshee ski station in the Scottish mountains on Saturday 28th February 2026. The race is run on compact piste snow at sunset and into the winter night. It is organised as a circuit around the ski area and offers both short and long course options.

Course and equipment
The event uses marked reflective flags on the course. GPX files and OSmaps are provided by the organiser and runners are asked to carry a paper map and compass as a backup. There is a kit check at registration and spot checks before the start. Mini crampons are listed as essential for icy sections. Runners must carry a front white torch and a rear red torch; a spare torch or batteries are recommended.
Practical information
Registration includes collection of race numbers and a kit check and has a hard closure in the afternoon. A prize giving and a lucky-dip draw will take place after the race; hot food and drinks are available at the cafe and trophies and other prizes will be awarded. The organiser issues refunds minus a £5 administration fee for requests made at least 30 days before race day; no refunds are given after that deadline.
