Course, logistics and policies
Longer distances use a 13.1-mile loop; the shorter event uses a 6-mile loop with one aid station and a water drop. Each loop has about 1,400 to 1,500 feet of elevation gain and about 10 creek crossings. The 50-mile event has a 14-hour cutoff and permits a pacer after mile 26 (Loop 3); the marathon has a 9-hour cutoff. Trail distances may vary and loops can run slightly long. Aid stations are described as fully stocked and all finishers receive a finisher medal; a race shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed by March 31.
