Smurf's Backyard Ultra
The Smurf's Backyard Ultra is a running event set in tropical Far North Queensland, Australia. The course is located at the Smithfield Mountain Bike Park Trail head on McGregor Road in Smithfield.
The event follows the backyard ultra format. All participants run the same 6.7 km loop. A new lap starts on the hour, every hour. A runner continues this pattern until they can no longer complete a lap within the hour.
There is also a "Backyard Mini" option. This allows runners to complete up to six laps of the same course, on the hour every hour. On the event day, participants in the Mini can choose to pay a difference and continue for more laps if they wish.
