Event Overview
The S'more Fun Trail Run is held at Mirror Lake State Park in Baraboo, Wisconsin. The event includes a Mini-Marshmallow Mile for children 11 and under, a 5K trail walk, a 5K trail run, a 10K trail run, and a half marathon trail run. Chip timing is provided for the 5K, 10K, and half marathon events by Tortoise and Hare Race Management. The half marathon has a 3.5-hour cut-off time for official timing.
Course and Amenities
The route takes participants along trails near Mirror Lake and sandstone cliffs. The course includes steep hills. Post-race food and beverages are provided, including s'mores served around a campfire. The event is a fundraiser for the Friends of Mirror Lake State Park, a non-profit organization that supports park projects.
Registration and Details
Registration is open from April 1 until September 27, 2026, or until a total cap of 450 registrants is reached. No same-day registration is available. A t-shirt is included but is not guaranteed for registrations after August 31. Packet pickup occurs on race day from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM at the Mirror Lake State Park Beach Area. The race is cupless; participants must bring their own water-carrying device.
Awards and Logistics
Awards are given for the top overall male and female finishers and for age division placements in the 5K, 10K, and half marathon. All half marathon and Mini-Marshmallow Mile finishers receive a participation medal. Participants aged 11 and under who complete the 5K or 10K also receive a participation award. Parking requires a Wisconsin State Park admission sticker. Participants should allow time to walk up to half a mile from parking areas to the start line. Dogs are not allowed at the event.
