Run for the Butter
Run for the Butter takes place on June 20, 2027 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. The event uses the local bike trail and parking is at 200 Eagle St, Reedsburg, WI 53959 (Lakeside Foods).
The event includes the following distances:
- 1/2 mile kids run
- 2 miles
- 10K (6.2 miles)
The 10K is an out and back course on the bike trail. The 2 mile route follows a down and out path on the same trail and begins after the trail clears from the 10K runners. The kids race is a short loop for younger participants.
Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in male and female categories for both the 2 mile and the 10K. Kids run participants receive a ribbon. Age group categories are 0 to 17 years, 18 to 34 years, 35 to 49 years, and 50 years and older.
Registration fees listed are $20 for the kids run, $30 for the 10K, and $25 for the 2 mile. Registration opens August 13, 2026 and closes June 19, 2027. Results will be posted online shortly after the event. Proceeds are returned to Butterfest to support the following year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
