Course
The in-person course starts at the corner of Broad Street and Main Street, proceeds north on Main Street to Lola Avenue for a turnaround, then continues south across the river bridge into Hurt, VA through a tunnel, turns around at the stoplight near English Construction in Hurt, and returns north on Main Street to finish at the corner of Main Street and Broad Street.
Registration, packet pickup and race items
Registration fees vary by date; the schedule listed includes $25, $30, $35, and $40 tiers depending on registration period. The guaranteed T-shirt deadline is November 21 at 11:59 PM. Packet pickup is listed at the Booker Building, 400 Broad St, Altavista; one listed session is Friday, December 11 (4:00 PM - 7:00 PM). Glow-in-the-dark accessories will be available at packet pickup. Shirts are long sleeve and unisex; finisher medals are awarded to all finishers.
Accessibility and fundraising
Assisted participants and their pushers must both register; assisted participants are ranked separately. Individual fundraisers who raise $200 by Wednesday, December 3 may receive a registration refund. Participants with eight referrals may receive a $25 registration refund. The event supports the Claire Parker Foundation, which provides care and emotional support for children and families affected by pediatric cancer.
