About the race
SMC Road Race Series runs from September 27, 2026 to May 23, 2027 at Long St Park opposite 61 Long St in Smithfield, NSW. The series is organised by a non profit running club and run entirely by volunteers. Events are open to all abilities and issue timing chips and bibs to every runner. All finishers receive an official time from an electronic timing system.
Races held at each event include:
- 21 km
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 2 km kids dash Some events include longer distances, with 30 km runs scheduled for Races 6 and 7.
At each event the organisers provide water, soft drinks, electrolytes and snacks. Raffle prizes are offered as lucky door prizes for participants. The course takes place in Smithfield at Long St Park and a course map is available from event information. The series runs across multiple dates between the September and May timeframe, with event locations centred at the Long St Park address in Smithfield.
