Sligo Coast to Coast 10 Mile
The Sligo Coast to Coast is an annual 10 mile point to point road event on 27 September 2026. The course starts at the roundabout near Sligo Rugby Club in Strandhill and finishes on the Prom in Rosses Point. The route follows coastal roads and shows views of Knocknarea, Coney Island and Benbulben.
The course is described as flat with very little incline. There are three water stations along the route and an additional station at the finish. All finishers receive a medal. The event is managed by Sligo AC, runs on a not for profit basis, and lists Sligo Athletic Club as a beneficiary while partnering with Sligo Cancer Support Group. A permit has been approved, cert.no: 26/352.
Number collection and registration are available on the weekend before and on race day, with new entries accepted on Saturday evening only. Tec tops are available as an optional purchase until 26 August. A bag drop service operates from the event base at Sligo Rugby Club and bags are transported to the finish for collection on the Prom in Rosses Point. Participants are asked to consider carpooling or using public transport for return journeys. Prizes are awarded for overall and age category placings, and a prize giving ceremony is held at the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
