Sliabhriadh
Sliabhriadh is a mountain race held on Slievereagh near Kilfinnane in County Limerick. The event offers a main course and a short juniors course. The main route is 15.30 km with 549 m of climb; a short course of 5.00 km is also provided.

The route is fully marked and GPS use is allowed. The course leaves the area across the road from Ballinvreena Community Hall and quickly passes an old lime kiln before crossing stiles and moving into trees and forestry fire roads. The fire road leads to a narrow wet path up to the trig pillar and communications mast near the summit at about 3 km. The return includes sections of fireroad, forest trail, mossy downhill trail, slippery trail, and fireroad back to the finish.
Mandatory kit is Level B - Standard and includes a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, a charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, and a foil blanket or equivalent. Participants must be able to carry the required kit; random checks may be carried out. Entry is limited to 250 runners. Entry fees are €7 for seniors and €5 for over-65s and under-18s. Entry opens 19 April 2026 and closes 25 April 2026.
Registration and the race hub are at Ballinvreena Community Hall between Kilfinnane and Garryspillane. Parking at the hall is limited and the hall is in use by the local community on the night. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
