New Year's Eve 10K Road Race 2026 : Glanworth, Co Cork
The New Year’s Eve 10K Road Race is organised by Grange Fermoy AC and takes place in Glanworth, Co Cork on 31 December 2026. The event has an AAI permit, certificate number 26/377, and entries are limited to 500. Online registration is open from 15 October until 30 December at midnight. The minimum age for participation is 18 on race day. The timing provider is POPUP RACES.
Parking is available at Glanworth GAA, the school car park, at the bottom of the village near the Old Creamery and near the start at a nearby farm (P51HR99). Race numbers can be collected on race day from 10am onwards at the event headquarters, Glanworth GAA Club. Refreshments will be served at Glanworth Community Centre in the village after the race. The published entry fee for the 10 km is €20.
The course is a single lap loop beginning just over 400 m from Glanworth GAA Club. Runners head straight towards the village, turn right at the first crossroad across from the playground, continue to String Cross at around 4 km then turn left. After just past 6 km there is a left at Rahard Cross. At 8 km runners turn left at Egan’s Cross and continue back towards the village to finish near the top of the village on the Ballyhooly Road.
Prizes include a beanie hat for all, placings for the first six men and women, awards for wheelchair and visually impaired first finishers, junior prizes, and first two in each listed age category for men and women. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
