New Year's Eve 10K Road Race : Glanworth
The event is a 10 km road race held in Glanworth, Co. Cork, organised by Grange Fermoy AC. The course is a single one-lap loop that passes through the village and uses local crossroads and landmarks; the finish is near the top of the village on Ballyhooly Road.
Parking is available at Glanworth GAA, the school car park, the Old Creamery at the bottom of the village, and near the start at Clotilde Fitzgibbon’s farm (P51HR99). Timing is provided by POPUP RACES. Race numbers are available for collection on the day from 10:00 at Glanworth GAA Club, and refreshments are served at Glanworth Community Centre after the race.
Online registration is open from 15 October to 30 December at midnight. Entry is restricted to those aged 18 or older on race day and entries are limited to 500. An AAI permit has been granted.
Prizes and awards include a beanie hat for all finishers, awards to the first six male and female finishers, awards for the first wheelchair and visually impaired male and female, awards for the first two junior male and female (minimum age 18), and awards for the first two in each listed age category for men and women.
