New Year's Eve 10K Road Race 2026 - Glanworth
Grange Fermoy AC will organise a 10 km road race in Glanworth, Co. Cork on Thursday 31 December 2026. The event has an approved permit, certificate number 26/377, and an AAI permit.
Entries are limited to 500. Online registration is open from 15 October to 30 December. Minimum age for participation is 18 on the day of the race.
The race is run on a one lap loop course. The start is located just over 400 m from Glanworth GAA Club. Runners head straight towards the village, turn right at the first crossroad across from the playground, continue to String Cross (km 4) and turn left. Just after km 6 runners turn left at Rahard Cross. At km 8 there is a left turn at Egan’s Cross and the route continues straight towards the village, with the finish on the left hand side near the top of the village on the Ballyhooly Road.
Parking is available at Glanworth GAA, the school car park, and at the bottom of the village near the Old Creamery; additional parking is provided near the start at a nearby farm (P51HR99). Race numbers can be collected on the day from 10:00 onwards at the event HQ at Glanworth GAA Club. Timing will be provided by POPUP RACES. Refreshments will be served at Glanworth Community Centre after the race.
Prizes include a beanie hat for all finishers and awards for top finishers by gender, junior rankings, wheelchair and visually impaired categories, and age categories from 35 to 80 in five year bands. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
