SLAKK GIVES BACK 5K
SLAKK Gives Back 5K is a charity 5K walk and run held on August 1, 2026 at the L'Auberge Levee Trailhead with parking at the L'Auberge overflow parking lot in Baton Rouge, LA. The event benefits St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and all proceeds will be donated to support its mission.
The course is an out-and-back route on the levee with a turnaround marked by a cone. Water stations will be available along the course. Organizers note conditions may be hot and that participants should account for hydration needs.
Every participant will receive an event t-shirt and a finisher medal. Registrants who register before July 1, 2026 are guaranteed a chosen shirt size. Packet pick up is scheduled the day before the event at Big River Footwear Co., and race-day pickup is available at the L'Auberge overflow parking lot.
The event includes vendor tables hosted by local businesses and sponsors. Awards will be presented for the top three overall male and top three overall female finishers, plus age group awards for male and female competitors in these categories: 19 and under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over.
