About the race
Skagen Marathon 2027 is an organized running event in Skagen, Denmark, held on 2 October 2027 and arranged by Toppen af Danmark. The event offers multiple distances:
- 42,2 km marathon
- 30 km Grenen Trail
- 21,1 km half marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
The route passes through Skagen town and its coastal nature, including landmarks such as Den Tilsandede Kirke, Vippefyret and the town’s streets with yellow houses and red roofs. Timekeeping is electronic with a chip mounted on the back of the race number. Aid stations are placed approximately every 5 kilometres and provide water, energy drink, fruit and toilet facilities; the Grenen Trail course follows its own marked depot layout. Prizes are awarded for first to third places by gross time on each distance and gender; there are additional age group prizes on the 5 km and raffle prizes for the Walk & Talk half marathon. Participants receive a medal and refreshments in the finish area. Bag drop is available with one item per participant, and free showers and changing are provided at Skagen Kultur- og Fritidscenter.
