Sixmilebridge Half Marathon & 10K
The Sixmilebridge Half Marathon and 10K is a brand-new running event held in County Clare. The course takes participants through the town center of Sixmilebridge and into the surrounding countryside. The route is situated on tarmac roads and is described as a flat, scenic loop intended for various goal types, including personal best attempts.
Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- Half Marathon (21.1 km)
- 10K
The event features a community atmosphere with support from local GAA clubs and volunteers. The course is fully marshalled by the organizer's team and includes medical support, lead vehicles, and sweeper support. Participants can utilize a bag drop service located at the start and finish area. To assist runners with their timing goals, pacers are available for various finishing times.
Registration includes chip timing for instant results and professional race photography. On the course, water stations are positioned every 5 km, and post-race refreshments are provided at the finish. All finishers receive a custom medal, and technical race T-shirts are available as a pre-order option during the registration process.
