This event is the fourth peak in the Six-pack of Peaks series. It is an out and back hike of 12 km with approximately 571 m of elevation gain. The route passes through fynbos and protea vegetation, includes a cave, and provides views over a large part of George. The outing is estimated to take about four hours. The typical age range is 12 and up. The listed entry fee is R150.
The meeting point is at the Tolbos Building on the Saasveld campus in George, Western Cape. A pin drop is shared with participants via the event communication group. The activity is described as a social hike where participants can expect conversation and interaction with fellow hikers.
Participants are advised to carry an emergency kit that may include a space blanket, whistle, emergency energy bar or trail food, a stretch bandage, and a small container of petroleum jelly for eyes, lips and chafing.
