Six in the Stix Trail Run
The Six in the Stix trail race takes place Sunday June 13, 2026 in Newport, New Hampshire. The event uses trails in the Newport Town Forest and begins and ends next to the football field at Newport High School, 250 North Main Street (NH Route 10).
- 6 miles on classic New Hampshire trails, rocky, rooty, and hilly
- 3 miles on classic New Hampshire trails
Age and gender categories are offered for both distances. The 6 mile divisions for men and women are under 15, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. The 3 mile divisions for men and women are under 15, 15-19, and 20+.
Awards are pure New Hampshire maple syrup for the top three in each category. Proceeds benefit the Newport Recreation Department and town forest trails.
Registration options include online pre-registration accepted through June 11, 2026 and race day registration. Pre-registration fees are $25.00 for ages 20 and over, $20 for ages 15-19, and free for under 15. Race day fees are $30 for ages 20 and over, $25 for ages 15-19, and free for under 15; race day registration is scheduled from 7:30 to 8:45 am.
Well behaved dogs are allowed at the venue but are not permitted on the course during the event. The event is presented by Stetsons Pure Maple Syrup, Newport Recreation Department, and Team Pinnacle, with additional support from Huberts Family Outfitters and Lake Sunapee Bank.
