Six Dales Circuit
The Six Dales Circuit is a Long Distance Walkers Association challenge event held in the Central England Peak District on Saturday 7 November 2026. The route is a circular course of 25 miles with a 10 hour time limit, starting from Biggin Village Hall near Hartington SK17 0DL.
The route visits Biggin Dale, Wolfscote Dale, Beresford Dale, Hartington (checkpoint 1), Monyash (checkpoint 2), Lathkill Dale, Bradford Dale, Middleton (checkpoint 3), Long Dale and returns to Biggin. Checkpoint opening and closing times are published for the event: CP1 08:30 to 10:30, CP2 10:00 to 14:00 and CP3 11:00 to 15:30. Retirements must be made at checkpoints only.
Required equipment for entrants includes waterproofs, compass, whistle, torch, map OL24 and a mug. Dogs are permitted only if handlers accept responsibility for any damage, keep dogs on short leads and do not take dogs into any of the halls. All entrants must use the designated event car park as directed by event marshals and parking on roads or verges is not permitted.
Entry fees are £12 for LDWA members and £20 for non members; fees include the route description, a certificate, snacks and drinks at checkpoints, and a light meal and drinks at the finish.
