About the race
Six Dales Circuit is a 25 miles loop in the White Peak that begins and ends at Biggin Village Hall, SK17 0DL. The route passes through Biggin Dale, Wolfscote Dale, Beresford Dale, Hartington, Monyash, Lathkill Dale, Bradford Dale, Middleton and Long Dale. A route description is provided to entrants.
The event includes snacks and drinks at three checkpoints and a meal at the finish, and finishers receive a certificate. There is a published time limit of 10 hours. Retirements are accepted only at checkpoints. The mapped area is covered by the White Peak OL24 1:25000 map.
Entry is limited to 200 participants; a waiting list operates if the event becomes full. Entry fees are listed separately for members and non members. Entrants must use the designated car park as directed by event marshals; parking on roads or verges is not allowed.
Recommended equipment includes waterproofs, the OL24 map, compass, route description, a mug, whistle and torch. Dogs are welcome on short leads but are not permitted inside village halls; owners must confirm they have pet owner liability insurance and are responsible for any damage caused.
