Sirens and Sneakers 5k 10k and Fun Run
Sirens and Sneakers is a charity running event held at John Stiff Park in Amarillo, Texas on October 31, 2026. Proceeds will benefit the APD benefit fund. The event offers multiple distances and a community atmosphere tied to the Halloween date; costumes are encouraged and door prizes will be drawn from participants who wear a costume.
Distances offered:
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- 10k (6.2 miles)
- 1 mile fun run/walk
T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by October 6. The 5k and 10k races will be timed by the LSRC. Awards include overall male and female winners for both the 5k and 10k, plus male and female age group winners for both races in these brackets: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
Registration opens on August 15, 2026 and closes on October 30, 2026. Listed registration fees are $35 for the 5k, $45 for the 10k, and $25 for the 1 mile fun run/walk. Packet pickup is scheduled on October 29 from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm at the Amarillo Police Department north parking lot and on the morning of the event starting at 6:30 am.
