Sirens and Sluggers
Sirens and Sluggers is a community 5K run/walk presented in partnership with the Fayetteville Woodpeckers and benefitting the Fayetteville Police Benevolence Fund. The course begins outside Segra Stadium at 460 Hay St in Fayetteville, travels through downtown, passes the Fayetteville Police Department building, and finishes inside Segra Stadium. Participants receive shirts and finishing participants are presented with a finisher medal.
Registration opens on 2026-10-30 and closes on 2027-02-20. The registration fee is $35.00. Local businesses may sponsor the event; sponsor packages are available.
Proceeds support the Fayetteville Police Benevolence Fund. Funds are used for emergency relief to officers and their families during critical illness, catastrophic injury, line-of-duty tragedy, or sudden hardship. The fund also provides education and college scholarship awards for children of active and fallen officers. Other supported initiatives include officer wellness programs such as mental health and peer-support services, and memorial support to honor fallen officers and preserve their legacy of service to Fayetteville.
