About the race

The Sint PietersBear Trail is a trail running event on the Sint Pietersberg and through the ENCI groeve near Maastricht. The 14th edition is scheduled for 5 September 2027 (date subject to change). The organiser runs the event inside a protected nature area; in consultation with the site manager there are only 750 start numbers available. All distances start and finish at the Sint Pietersberg, ENCI-groeve, Lage Kanaaldijk in Maastricht.

The routes are varied and include single tracks, steep climbs, running climbs, technical downhills and wider forest or gravel paths. The organiser publishes the definitive parcourses one week before the event. Offered distances and elevation gains: - 15 km, 355 m D+ - 20 km, 500 m D+ - 25 km, 585 m D+ The event is one of the organiser’s older editions and the 2026 edition received a review score of 9.2/10.
