About the race
The Sint PietersBear Trail is a trail running event organized on and around the Sint Pietersberg and through the ENCI groeve near Maastricht and Kanne. The 2027 edition is listed as the 14th edition and the planned date is 5 September 2027, date under reservation.
The event offers three distance options with stated elevation gains:
- 15 km - 355 m D+
- 20 km - 500 m D+
- 25 km - 585 m D+
Routes start and finish at the Sint Pietersberg, ENCI-groeve, Lage Kanaaldijk in Maastricht. The parcours are described as varied and include single tracks, steep climbs, runnable climbs, technical downhills and wider forest paths. The area includes gravel roads and is a protected nature reserve; the organizer runs the event with permission to operate in that area.
Entries are limited to 750 start numbers for 2027 and registrations open from early May 2027. The definitive course maps are published one week before the event.
